Providing TLC to Children
The Learning Center celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019, making us the oldest childcare center in the Milford, DE, area. We achieved 5 Stars in Delaware’s QRIS (Quality Rating Improvement System). We are family-owned and operated, so we embrace family involvement for the success of all the children in our care. Many of our classroom professionals have early childhood credentials and we have a significantly high staff retention rate. This all means that your child will have all the benefits of an established childcare and preschool center with experienced, dedicated staff, parent involvement, and a solid curriculum.
We strive to nurture the individuality in every child and to respect and encourage individual differences.

How many children can you accept in your programs?
A: We are licensed for 175 children.
What are the fees?
A: Infants: $167.50
Toddlers: $160/$157.50/$147.50
Preschool: $140
Kindergarten-Fifth Grade: $75/school year, $140/summer.
When are payments due?
A: Weekly payments are due by Friday for the following week.
Do you offer any discounts for prepayment?
A: A $5 weekly discount is given to anyone who pays for four weeks or more in advance.
Are there discounts for families with more than one child enrolled?
A: Yes. Weekly discounts are provided for the second child enrolled at TLC. Contact us for information.
Can my child earn vacation days?
A: Full-time children can earn up to 10 vacation days per calendar year.
How do you incorporate lessons about moral behaviors into the program?
A: We introduce them to a loving God as known from the Judeo-Christian traditions. The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are all components of our program.
Is your staff qualified?
A: Our staff meets or exceeds childcare licensing educational requirements.
Do you provide meals or snacks?
A: Families provide a packed lunch for their children. TLC provides morning and afternoon snacks plus milk for lunch. This does not pertain to infants.
